Faith and action
Creates your world-glow
It vanishes burdens
And frees your soul
Faith is in your heart. Action is a choice of thought. Both faith and action together will bring great victory in life. Knowing and trusting that, your heart will be filled with bliss. All things are rooted in faith. Even those who have the most difficulty applying this to their daily lives will find innumerable instances in which serve as reminders. When you take action through your thoughts, you assist faith. Power is tempering your thoughts to achieve mastery of “self.”
So Says Maggy
Shirley’s Message about Faith and Action
Following a dream I moved to San Mateo, California, and got a job at Advanced Micro Devices working in internal auditing. Two years later I realized that while everything appeared fine, I felt uneasy inside. I had made friends, loved the area, and the job was good — so why this unsettled feeling? But I knew it was time to make a move. Why, how, and where would I go? I took a day of solitude to focus and get to the bottom of my anxiety.
Driving south on Pacific Coast Highway, taking in the breathtaking views, I was filled with awe and wonder. The rugged coast rose steeply as the road wound around craggy cliffs at every turn. I exited at Big Basin, a garden spot among the Redwood trees, the tallest in the world. Surely, this would be a good place to figure out my life. I walked to a bench under one of the huge Redwood trees. My body immediately relaxed in the still air and greenery. Sitting on the bench, I allowed my thoughts to open to any messages.
I noticed an elderly man with white hair, a cane and a big smile, walking towards me. He had a gleam around his body as though he was walking inside a golden bubble. As he got closer, I could see a Guardian Angel walking behind him. He asked, “Young Lady may I sit with you? You look as though you could use a friend right now.” I welcomed his company and thought how beautiful he was, with his glowing aura and Angel.
He listened closely as I told him of my spiritual mentor, Maggy Conn, who had passed on. I had promised to write her life story. “It doesn’t feel right to sit day after day in a cubicle, working with numbers. I know that I’m supposed to teach people to better understand themselves. I haven’t figured out how to do this yet, but have faith it will be done.”
“You are a writer who authors a story,” the man told me. “And each of us authors our own life by choosing what thoughts we accept. You have faith that it will be done and faith creates miracles. You have to discipline your actions, meaning your thoughts, to achieve your desires. It is good to awake in the morning full of vision from the night, to arise from the bed full of remembrance of brilliance and peace. That feeling surpasses everything. You feel uplifted, quickened with a new faith. The key to this mystery is to not allow your thinking to overpower the vision. Jesus once said ‘As ye believe, so shall it be done unto you.’ You are what you choose to be and your choice is made in the mind. Seek the high and forsake the low. Add all things unto yourself simply by taking a position with impregnable faith and action. Equally important is to gain the ability to slow down the unbridled streams of thoughts that flow across your consciousness. Mind can go in dozens of different directions at once, and that only produces chaos in your surrounding world. All you have to do is harness the Conscious Mind, discipline those thoughts within, aim them in the path you want to follow, and allow your heart to be your guide. Then all questions will be answered.”
Hearing a noise behind me, I turned to see a bird. When I looked back, to my surprise the man and Angel had vanished. I thought, “Gee, I’ve been wandering like a stray sheep, seeking with anxious reasoning without and not within.” I knew I had to let go of those chaotic thoughts and trust my faith and take action.
As I started towards the car, my cell phone rang. It was a friend from Texas asking if I would be interested in moving to Ft. Worth to start up a business teaching seminars and giving spiritual readings. Back on the road, I started singing “The stars are big, big at night, Deep in the Heart of Texas.” There was no doubt my heart was already there. And I had a very big story to write.
MEDITATION FOR FAITH AND ACTION
- Relax and still the mind.
- Visualize Pink and Blue inside your body, flowing from your toes to the top of your head.
- Take a deep breath. As you exhale, listen inwardly beneath all sound, beneath all thought, in the deep silence at the heart of your creation.
- Visualize Gold and Silver colors flowing around your outside body.
- As these colors flow, you will hear and feel the harmony of God.
- With these colors flowing from your heart, send them out to the Universe.
- You will see your vision in a jewel lying so pure and still in the lotus of your heart. It is a timeless flash and you will comprehend truth with the mind and heart.
- Give thanks for the Light, the divine spark and the seed of golden grain, infinite and eternal within your heart.
- Say to yourself “I know I can trust my faith and my actions are focused from within. I am filled with Love and Light.”
This meditation brings forth faith and action to empower your life. It will calm your thoughts by allowing the Universe to assist with Love and Light. With abundant power of Love and Light as your source, you will then create your own miracle.
