Pay Attention To The Present

Pay Attention To The Present

You are living in an age of distraction. Some people fear living in the moment. Some do not believe there is anyone who can lead them through the economic struggles. Some believe the world is coming to an end. This is a dangerous mode to get into because not only are your fears limiting your progress, those fearful thoughts limits earth's growth and progress. Understand the root of your fears is because you do not have faith and trust. What you think is what you are. The purpose in existence in any situation is to know where you are now.

One of life's sharpest paradoxes is that the brightest future hinges on your ability to pay attention to the present. Living in the moment known as mindfulness, is a state of active, open, intentional attention on the present. Mindfulness involves being with your thoughts as they are, neither grasping at them nor pushing them away. Instead of letting your life go by without living it, you awaken to experience. These thoughts can reduce stress, boosts immune functioning, reduces chronic pain, lower blood pressure, etc. Mindful people are happier, more exuberant, more empathetic, and more secure.

Life unfolds in the present. But often, you let the present slip away, allowing time to rush past unobserved squandering the precious seconds of your life. Instead you worry about the future and ruminate about what has already past. Sometimes at work, you fantasize about being on vacation, or on vacation, you worry about the work piling up on your desk. Do not dwell on intrusive memories of the past or fret about what may or may not happen in the future. You need to appreciate the living present other wise your mind vaults from thought to thought like a monkey swinging from tree to tree. You need to allow yourself more time to practice stillness and calmness.

It is time to take your thoughts into awareness. These thoughts rush through your mind like a rushing waterfall. In order to feel more in control of your mind, you have to find the sense of balance and step out of the current, to pause, rest in stillness and focus on just being. Cultivating a nonjudgmental awareness of the present bestows many benefits for the mind body and spirit.

Pay Attention To The Present

People who live in the moment are happier, more exuberant, more empathetic, and more secure. They have higher self-esteem and are more accepting of their own weaknesses. Anchoring awareness in the here and now reduces the kinds of impulsivity and reactivity that underlie depression, binge eating, and attention problems. Mindful people can hear negative feedback without feeling threatened. They fight less with their family or friends, they are more accommodating and less defensive.

Overriding the distraction reflex and awakening to the present takes intention and practice. Living in the moment involves a profound paradox: You can not pursue it for its benefits, because the expectation of reward launches a future-oriented mindset, which subverts the entire process. Instead, you just have to trust that the rewards will come. There are many paths to living in the moment at the core of each is a paradox. Letting go of what you want is the only way to get it.

It is time to realize planet Earth is a living breathing entity that deserves your respect. It is a time for transformation to positive thinking. Earth is going through a great awakening with a clearer picture for up rooting and toppling corrupted systems. The continuation of the present economic slide will recover and economic stabilizations through fair policies and controls. This energy is a positive thrust for life. Life will be replenished. It is the Universal Law of balance.

Your meditation encircling earth and the power it creates is a blessing for all. The California Redwood National Forest has many of the world's tallest redwoods. The parks mosaic of habitats includes prairie oak woodlands, mighty rivers and streams flow along the coast line. Walking through a redwood grove on a foggy morning can be an unforgettable experience. Sounds are reduced to the musical gurgle of water trickling amongst ferns and mossy rocks. Light ebbs with the somber mist and shafts of sun hang like cobwebs. Stillness and peace weave their spells upon the person who enters. It is a wonderful place to take your thoughts. This will help you and earth produce more positive vibrations.

"If you could only keep quiet, clear of memories and expectations, you would be able to discern the beautiful pattern of events. It's your restlessness that causes chaos."
